I had the idea for this short film from the computer server room at work. With the light out and nothing but the fans and flashing lights of about a dozen web/mail/file servers, it's a bit spooky. There's a CCTV computer watching everyone in the building too. I liked the idea of someone getting trapped in there, being able to see everyone, but not communicate to them. Uberwachung is a German word meaning "awakeness" and "watching over". The film stars my German friend Klaus (www.charlieblackfield.com).

Lots of things that break can only be repaired with glue, but many glues won't stick properly, or ooze all over the place; they dry up in the tubes, get on your clothes, leak... Glue guns are great for instant sticking, but you've got to plug them in, they seem to waste a lot of the stick, and they're not convenient for a quick stick. I've started using a micro torch instead of a glue gun, and it's great! :-)
